The TM-5418 PTZ IR uses Hitachi’s latest 540TVL 18x Optical Zoom module. It has a 1/3″ CCD to give you an excellent night picture in complete darkness compared to most PTZs which use a 1/4″ CCD.
It is a high-speed Pan, Tilt & Zoom camera which has a 360° rotation so that you can control the camera to where and what you want to see. Unlike standard PTZ cameras, the TM-5418 PTZ IR has a motorised Infra-Red LED to allow you to see up to 150m in complete darkness. A motorised IR LED zooms the IR with the zoom module so that you can see everything clear in complete darkness from 0m up to 150m.
It is a fast PTZ camera at up to 200°/sec pan & tilt speed.
The camera comes with a 18x motorised module so that you can zoom in/out as you like. An Auto Iris lens continuously samples the amount of light hitting the image sensor and opens/closes the iris accordingly. This is extremely valuable in settings where light levels are constantly changing.
Installing a PTZ has never been easier. The camera has a block interface which allows it to be hot-plugged to the bracket. Therefore, the bracket is installed first and the camera is connected which is much easier and saves time compared to the conventional way of installing the bracket with the camera connected.
It has a multi-functional RS485 decoder and an onboard processor for logic handling.
A disadvantage for a camera which is used outdoors is that it will lose the natural day colour as it will pick up the IR emitted from the Sun. As a result, we’ve developed a mechanical IR-Cut Filter (ICR) which filters out the infra-red daylight to give you a natural daylight colour. When the illumination lowers, the ICR will automatically open allowing more light to enter so that you have total night vision.
